Group Description	'Art on Wheels' was a major initiative of Visual Arts UK which involved painted tarpaulins mounted on lorries to create a 'moving exhibition' which toured the country during 1996. The painted tarpaulins were created by artists Stuart Bastik and Maddi Nicholson and mounted on lorries provided by haulage company T. Brady and Son Transport Ltd. The project was launched at the Tate Gallery on 16th May 1996. Stuart Bastik and Maddi Nicholson also collaborated to produce truck-mounted banners for South East Northumberland's 'Moving Banners' project during 1996. Deposit includes correspondence and planning information, sponsorship proposals, press cuttings, publicity material, artists notes and sketches, photographs. 1994 = 1997
