Group Description	'Sheepfolds', by internationally renowned sculptor Andy Goldsworthy was an initiative to mark Visual Arts 1996 with a Cumbria-wide project. It was developed by Cumbria County Council through Cumbria Public Art, the public art development service for Cumbria. Funding was from Northern Arts, Cumbria County Council and Lottery funding via The Arts Council of England 'Sheepfolds' is a long-term project in which Goldsworthy makes use of existing sheepfolds, washfolds and pinfolds as well as making new ones with the aim of creating environmentally sensitive public art integrating with the landscape. By 2000 thirty of the sixty planned sites were completed. The collection includes publicity material, correspondence files from Northern Arts, Tullie House Gallery and Visual Arts Development Agency. 1994 = 1996
